This is awesome!!!!!! I don't know why you didn't make it to the Semi-finals. Mine wasn't that good, so I kinda knew that I wasn't going to get it and I agree about all the Semi-finalists were all didital. They should've had two winners one from didital and one from traditional, if they did it that way then you would've been in the top ten. You are a great artist and you do your best work. I admire you.
well i know why! because digital always wins! it's colorful and it catches the eyes!!!! Thank you anyway. i really needed this comment! i was so angry when i saw the results! they are good but this result wasn't fair!!! i felt regret! i knew i shouldn't enter this contest! i'm glad you like my drawing. and thank you for your time! means a lot
you're welcome!! Yeah, I know what you mean by that. I'm actually want to be gaming designer, but I'm learning from the basics in 2D and 3D drawing. I'm in high school and your drawings are so AWESOME!!!! Any advice od 3D drawing? Like where to start, or how to shade?
ow, that's great! good! well, i really love to encourage my friends to do what they wanna do! but i'm not a teacher and i'm not qualified enough to guide you! but i can say, start with the reference pics of real people! like your Barnabas drawing! and i can give you a hint that really changed my drawings! always remember that skin has color too! so never leave it white! color the skin and THEN shade it! concentrate on the colors! it's not just black and white! there are millions of tunes! whites should be white and blacks, black! just, pay attention to the tunes! and try to scan your drawings, not photograph them! that's all i could tell you now! i can't really help you that much! but if you needed anything or thought i could help you with something, just let me know!
I'm loving all of the background detail as well as the subject himself, which is extremely well drawn. He looks like Mr. Depp; the hair is beautifully rendered. You have a good mastery of line and shading; those pencils you've listed are fabulous for this type of portraiture. The vest caught my eye: intricate and finely shadowed to give it the appearance of velvet and embroidery. Interesting illustrative portrait which should grace the foyer of Collinwood.
